Our commitment

We believe clear financial help should be easy to reach. We work to make this website usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements that help designers and developers improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website is designed with the intent to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The site has not yet been formally audited by a third party, so we describe it as partially conformant: some content may not yet fully meet the standard.

Measures we take

• Text and interface colors chosen to meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and controls.
• Every feature works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link to the main content.
• A logical heading structure and landmarks so assistive technology can move through the page easily.
• Form fields with visible labels, required fields marked in text, and error messages that explain how to fix them.
• Buttons and links sized to at least 48 by 48 pixels on touch screens.
• Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Motion and smooth scrolling are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Layouts that reflow to a 320 pixel wide screen and support zoom up to 200% without losing content.

Known limitations

We are still reviewing the site with assistive technologies. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so text may briefly display in a fallback typeface on slow connections. If you find a barrier we haven't listed, please let us know.
